What I Learned Spending The Weekend With A Billionaire and Centimillionaires

Recently I flew out to meetup with Grant Cardone and Brandon Dawson for an exclusive mastermind with a limited number of people.


If you don't know who Grant Cardone is, he is a sales machine and a New York times best seller with a real estate portfolio worth $1.5 billion. He has amassed a following for go-getters that strive for 10Xing their results.


Brandon Dawson, President of Cardone Ventures, sold his first business at age 29 for $150 million, is a two time INC 500 and INC 5000 Fastest Growing Company Award Recipient and is now Grant Cardone's business partner in helping organizations scale at 10X levels.


I spent two days exclusively with them and was able to ask any question I wanted and build a relationship with each of them.


This is what I learned:

1. Stop thinking so small

While there, I was able to network with people making from $2 million to $400 million a year. I was able to listen to their questions and be a part of the discussion. I found that we have many of our own limiting beliefs. When our goals are small, we stay small. If we think big, we make it big!

I met a 16 year old that did $2.2 million last year. AMAZING person!!


2. Money is meant to be moving

When you put your money into savings, the bank immediately puts the money to use. We should be doing the same thing! We should be investing money, not just in stocks, but also into our business, our lives and especially ourselves. Currency comes from the word "current" meaning, to be moving. Our money should always be flowing in one way or another.


3. Surround yourself with thinkers and doers

There are four types of people. Thinkers, Doers, Watchers, and Drainers. Thinkers are the dreamers that think of new ideas. Doers are the executers that do what thinkers dream up. Thinkers and doers are the people that make things happen, and you can be both!


Watchers and drainers are the people who can tell you what happened, what they've tried before and why somethings won't work. They are typically the downers with the victim mentality and they have no place in your close circles or business.


It may seem harsh, but no one is so essential in your business or close circles that you have to keep a drainer. They will try to bring everyone else down to their level; and if left alone will most likely succeed, bringing you down with them. You are trying to bring in and lift people up. If you have a drainer, prune them out of your business or circle. They can drain from someone else, but it does not need to be you.
